Central location, great traffic connection...

Completely integrated into the European traffic network, crossed by two motorways (E40 and E42), East Belgium is
- “right in the middle“ between The Netherlands-Limburg, North-Rhine Westphalia, Rheinland-Pfalz, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Walloon region.
- at the border to The Netherlands, Germany and Luxembourg
- surrounded by larger, densely populated areas: Heerlen, Maastricht, Lüttich and Aachen in the north and, a bit further south, Luxembourg and Trier

Great air traffic connections
- within approximately 100 to 115 km: 6 international airports: Düsseldorf, Cologne-Bonn, Maastricht, Bierset, Luxembourg, Frankfurt-Hahn
- within approximately 50 km: 2 airports: Bierset near Lüttich and Maastricht

In the north, the high-speed train Thalys crosses our region from Paris to Cologne (with connections in Aachen or Lüttich).
