Economy:
50% of the area of the community of Amel is forested. Therefore, the wood industry and agriculture, as well as the processing of wood (sawmills, trade, construction and furnishing carpentry) have always been a traditional segment of the economy. The construction industry and transportation are also strongly represented.
During the last few decades, other sectors have also settled in this area, so that the metal industry, multimedia, processing of natural products, services, and more, are now also present beside the construction industry.
